Silas was our server and they were awesome, encouraged me to try real wasabi and I loved it! They made my fiancé and I feel very special on our recent engagement, and they gave us a complimentary dessert. We will definitely make this a staple in Cleveland! ”

“ This Friday me and my mother were able to go experience sora, it was worth it, we went around lunch. We were greeted by our server who was very personal and took time with us. We ordered pork buns as a starter. They were struggling with the buns so for the wait they gave them to us for free. Besides the wait they were delectable. As the main course I ordered the Ebisu large roll and my mother got the misu shiitake udon. Mine came shortly after but my mother's took a while. Food was great and the service was amazing. We got a vanilla orange crumble it was worth it. The restaurant as a whole to is buetiful with the Japanese atmosphere and the buetfuil cherry blossom tree and soft music. Bathrooms very clean. I recommend, service great,food great. Only complaint was the wait on one dish. ”

Let me tell you about the food coming from an Asian sceptical of Midwest sushi: I was totally blown away by how fresh the fish was. The maki were ordered were very umami. Best part: they have burgers! For my Asian son who thinks he's American! (Burgers were superb btw) Cocktails were the bomb as well as the host who gave us recs on the best of Cleveland! Need I say more? Please come here cos I will be when I visit Cleveland! The land of exceeding expectations! ”

“ Ambience: really cool interior with nice bar. Service: I sat at the bar for a quick bite. The bartender was really nice & friendly. She had good recommendations. Thy also had good seasonal sake selection, I got a cup for $5. - Mizumi roll: I love salmon and this was a good roll. Although I don't necessary like sauce on rolls this one had a bit of a nice sauce that didn't over-kill the fish. ”

“ SORA is my go-to sushi spot whenever I'm in Cleveland, and it never lets me down. This time, Brennan was our waiter, and he was fantastic--super friendly and really on top of things, which made the whole meal even better. I kicked things off with a French 75, and it was spot-on. I've gotta say, I always get the crispy rice every time I'm here because it's just that good. For my entrée, I went with the Hanabi, and wow--it was delicious! They heat it up in the oven, so it comes out warm and crispy, just the way I like it. If you're in Cleveland and craving sushi, SORA is the place to be. Can't recommend it enough! ”

“ We had a very late dinner here before heading over to the Flats, and luckily they were able to seat us without a reservation. The inside decor is super cute and fancy, it almost feels like a club in there, except thankfully the music wasn't blaring. We were seated at a table in the back room, so it was a bit more secluded and quiet which was nice (the umbrellas on the ceiling decor was super cute as well). Staff member was quick to come around, but then it was a bit harder to flag them down since we were away from the regular dining area. They serve nigiri, sushi rolls, sashimi options, as well a mix of Japanese fusion entree items including a wagyu burger and a katsu sandwich. The drinks were really tasty and I really enjoyed the flying nimbus drink. The chef's choice sashimi platter came with 21 pieces at $85, which is a decent price, though I wished the waitress had explained what each piece of fish was -- we kind of guessed based on what we know (and it wasn't written on the menu either). We also got a few nigiris including the yellowtail, scallop and tuna. The scallop was my favorite, followed by yellowtail then tuna. Good size sashimi though not the cheapest sushi option. All in all, we enjoyed the ambiance and the drinks, the food was good but not mind-blowing or super special that you couldn't get elsewhere. Its location near the Flats may be a deciding favor though. I would come back again and try more of their huge drinks menu and maybe order a special roll that others have mentioned in their reviews. Parking might be tricky given the location! ”
